Summer Reading Fun
Learning doesn’t have to stop over the summer! Elementary students may take home a reading textbook from the MacMillan series to keep. Every student in elementary, middle and high school will have the opportunity to take three books home over the summer. Library books should be returned in August. Every student will log minutes spent engaged in reading using Scholastic’s Summer Challenge to Read for the World Record. The school with the most minutes read will win a classroom library! The second place school will win sets of guided reading materials. Third place wins a collection of nonfiction books to add to classroom libraries. Please encourage your student to read and complete the activities over the summer to build on the skills they’ve learned throughout the year!
